Is there a desktop calendar software with all these functions? Support Yahoo or Google Calendar with automatic backup in local PC; Weekly view; Sidebar on desktop, supported with auto-hide function. I'm highly looking forward to such a calendar software.

What smartphone and calendar/address book/task manager desktop software is a good alternative to Palm? I want to switch from a PDA to a smartphone. I currently have the Palm TX and feel it's time to combine cell phone with PDA. I'm ruling out Palm, Apple and Microsoft smartphones and MS Outlook (I would prefer to use a Palm Desktop equivalent). So my question is: Excluding Palm, Apple and Microsoft solutions, what smartphones and calendar/address book/task manager desktop software are good alternatives to the Palm TX and Palm Desktop?

How can I get my palm desktop calendar imported into Yahoo calendar? I have attempted to follow all of the tips on the sync help site. When I try to create a dba file from my palm desktop and import it into yahoo I get this message,"Yahoo! Calendar Problem (code 0) The file was not imported or was the wrong format, please check your file. " I was able to get my Yahoo calendar imported to my palm desktop. I have also tried to sync the information but I get a message saying, "A conflict in the installed conduits has been detected". I have attempted to change calendar to "Do Nothing" but this has no affect on the problem. I am really getting frustrated with this and would appreciate any help I could get. On top of all of this I cannot sync my device with my palm desktop software now.

Is the desktop software for the Blackberry comparable to Palms? My boss is making the transition from the Palm Treo 700 to the Blackberry Curve. Loved the Palm desktop software beause I could view or add appointments to his schedule while he was out of the office. From what I see with the Blackberry the actual phone has to attached to the computer via the cable to access the desktop stuff. Is this correct or I am doing something wrong? I want something that sits right on the desktop, like the calendar gadget but larger and more detailed. Any ideas? Anything free? I'm going for a sort of mutant gadget thing. I just lost all of my calendar entries on my palm pilot software. how can i get them back? i dont use the actual palm device, i use only the software on my desktop. i dont hot synch and unfort have no archives files. i did a spybot just prior to losing the date. i tried system restore to yesterday, nothing. palm support forums have no fixes..is the data anywhere on my computer???? this is a disaster. please help.

Palm Desktop Replacement Needed? Palm Desktop (the address / calendar software that comes bundled with Palm) has been giving me serious problems - lost chunks of address book entries. I've upgraded to Ver 6.2.1 that's supposed to run under Vista. Restoring backups provide some solution but not a solution. I've almost given up. What can I replace it with? My Tungsten T3 doesn't sync as well as it used to. I'm very very frustrated with always losing address book entries, especially the ones that i updated recently.

Sync Hotmail or Outlook or Google Calendar to Blackberry Bold.? I am beyond frustrated... a simple thing like Sync'ing calendars I've tried to do from Hotmail, Outlook, and Google calendar and have had a variety of issues with each one, despite having Blackberry's Desktop software AND downloading any 'apps' that may also be required. I just want to throw the blackberry out the window because this and e-mail were 2 reasons I got the darn thing. Hotmail is my preferred way, then outlook, then google... help!

Pulling contacts from a desktop sync of blackberry curve through sprint? I had a 8330 curve through sprint, dont think the carrier matters, but anyway i lost the phone. Two days prior to loosing it, i had backed it up through the blackberry desktop software. When i try to click on the file to open it and get my contact info, it wont open for me. I got all my contacts, email info, calendar dates, everything in that last backup but cant figure out how to get into it or to find something that can read it so i can pull my info from it and put it on my new phone. any suggestions

How do I sync my Palm z22 handheld PDA to my Yahoo! Calendar/Tasks/To-Do List? I have recently purchased the new Palm z22 handheld PDA in the hopes of sync-ing up with my Yahoo! account, where all my personal information is shared. However, while I can sync up just fine with the built in Palm Desktop software, I *cannot* sync up with my Yahoo! information. The following is what happens every time I attempt to do so: 1. I run the Intellisync for Yahoo! software (I have previously configured the sync-elements and entered my Yahoo! username & password). 2. I click on the sync button on the z22 to prepare it to "talk" to the PC. 3. I click the sync button within the Intellisync for Yahoo! software. Briefly, a dialog stating "Preparing to process records..." pops up. It goes away, replaced by: 4. A dialog that says "Press the 'Hot Sync' button on the device's cradle to syncronize sections configured to sync with the Palm device" shows up. 5. Repeat ad nauseum... Additional Notes: A. I have tried using the USB connectors on the mobo (at the back of the PC) instead of the front, fearing some rare incompatibility. B. I have tried this on a total of three machines and two operating systems (XP & 2000). C. I have ensured that all relevant drivers are up-to-date in all cases. D. I have ensured that my Palm sync-options are set to LOCAL & "Cradle/Cable" Answers I have no interest in: E. Anyone saying "Export" data from Yahoo! then "Import" it in the PDA can not bother - that's not true syncing, is a stopgap solution, and leads to repeated entries and general confusion. F. Using an intermediary is not an option. If I'm to sync from Yahoo!-to-Outlook, and then from Outlook-to-Palm, then it's also not true syncing. I want a direct connection between Y! and my z22. Finally, I have submitted a question of this nature to the folks at Yahoo! and am hoping for an official response; if so, I will append this question with the contents of their response. SOLUTION: Since I cannot answer my own question, I'll just add detail to this one and hope that one of you will copy-and-paste my text into an answer for free whuffie, or points, or whatever the heck you use with this service (I don't pay attention). Just hotsync through Palm Desktop like you would normally and it'll automatically sync with the Y! service. Everything's been smooth ever since.

Thinking of buying the new HTC EVO. Will it sync my outlook mail,calendar, and contacts? I currently own a blackberry with sprint. I am able to sync my outlook via blackberry desktop software. I plug in with usb and sync from computer to phone and vice versa. I'm worried that with the new android system it won't be that easy. I've been reading a lot about different apps that help with syncing but none of them seem too concrete. I'm thinking of just waiting for the new iphone to come out which I hear is easy to sync with outlook via cloud, I think they call it. A window keeps popping up when I start up the computer. Please help!? I installed a software called "Desktop iCalendar lite" and uninstalled after a day realizing I did not need it. Even though I uninstalled it, a pop up that says, "Access violation at address 00604665 in module 'Calendar.exe'. Read of address 00000010" keeps popping up repeatedly when I turn on the laptop back up. Please help! How do i get rid of this? If it helps, I have a windows 7.

Help me with my Palm m125 please? Is there any way I can sync my m125 with Outlook without having to use the Palm Desktop Software? I just want to be able to sync the contact list and calendar between the two. So if I write something in my Palm it will add it to my computer and if I write something in my computer it will add it to my palm. Problems with Blackberry Curve sync with MS Outlook Calendar? Have a Blackberry Curve and use the calendar in MS Outlook. Phone worked fine in the past with sync, but now OCCASIONALY when I go to sync, it will transfer from the desktop to the phone, but will enter things a second time that are already on the handheld. Worst part is it does not transfer items from the handheld to the desktop which is a huge issue! It is my bosses phone and I have to know what is going on during the day to remind him of certain things, things he might put in the handheld while away from the office but I don't know them because they never transfered. The phone is only a couple months old and other than this issue we are totally pleased. I have checked the settings and all are set for the device and desktop to sync. What could the issue be? I have one pissed boss who has missed meetings beacuse I don't remind him and/or the device has "lost" his info and I am clueless with Blackberry!!! I am used to the Palm software but the Palm will not work with his Lincoln handsfree system in the car!!! ERRR!!!!! And I've called the Blackberry support and get no where!!!

Using Palm TX and Treo at the same time? I have a palm TX that I use pretty extensively for work and I'm thinking about buying a Treo to use as a personal organizer (calendar, contacts, etc). I was wondering if I could sync the same address book and calendar to both palm pilots from same desktop (so that I would have identical calendars and contacts on each device). And I understand if I am willing to shell out the bucks for the extra software, I can get a Blackberry to work with my Mac. I absolutely do not want to run windows on my Mac. Is ABC Amber safe? I'm looking for software to download and edit my blackberry from the .ipd file.? I have a blackberry but with no internet. I use the phone, calendar, tasks and contact information. I also have the blackberry desktop manager for back-up. However, I can't transfer my information to my Yahoo contacts and calendar.
