Any good, and preferably free, Bill (or due date) reminder software? I'm constantly forgeting bills and often missing payments by a day of so and thus coping a fee. Yes I know that simple solutions are pay when you get them (not always possible) etc. But thats not always possible. What i'm after is something that gives me a reminder that a bill is due and can also be set up for reoccuring bills eg monthly insurance payments etc. Does anybody have any decent suggestions? what free software could i use to keep track of progress? I am starting up programmes of work for students, and want to keep track of what to do, and when. Programme 1 has 2 students, once a week, for 6 weeks, Programme 2 has 2 students, twice a week for 6 weeks. Programme 3 has 1 student and is ongoing. Programme 4 is where the student completes the work at home but I need to see them at the beginning, after 6 weeks, and after 12 weeks. I will be adding students throughout the year, so I end up with, say, 10 students on each programme. I also need to build in automatic reminders on all programmes for letters home to parents, SEN register completion, progress checks etc. I've tried project management software but it doesnt seem to fit the bill really, there is only me doing the programmes, so I dont have to synchronise work with other employees. I thought of some sort of diary, I would be interested to hear what others would do, I want to get it right,I have over half term to set it up and want to start the programmes after half term. It would have to be free, as the school has no budget, so no free trials or demo versions would do. Thanks in advance for any help.

How do I set a pop-up reminder as my computer shuts down? I need my computer to give me a reminder before I shut it down. I have Windows XP. All I need it to do is to come up with a message when I do Start>Turn Off Computer>Shut Down telling me to disconnect a hard drive. How do I stop the reminders to renew and subscribe to Norton software that keep popping up everyday in Vista? I bought this computer in September and it had a free trial to Norton security software. The free trial period has expired, but I can't afford the monthly payments if I renewed the subscription. I'm using MS Vista Home. I looked at the start-up programs menu but I am not familiar with Windows Vista and all of its new 'bells and whistles.' does every window on my computer have a code in regedit? I have a software that I use, but it is the free version. After about 30 minutes a window named, "Attention!"pops up saying t "You only have the limited version".. Cookies......................................? Hi I got banned from a forum a while back because the Mod of the forum thought i had banned him from my forum. The paranoid Mod banned all Mods from my forum as he didn't like the fact he was banned, so he banned us all from his forum. Anyway, i know a lot of people on his forum as it is a football forum, and a lot of us meet up for pre match beers etc, so i would like to access the forum again as it is the main clubs forum, much larger than my forum. all the users are telling the Mod to reinstate me but to no luck.. Ive just tried to get back on the forum and i could have, but when i was filling the fields to register as a new user, one of my ex user-names popped up in the reminder field, so i guess there must be a cookie, but i removed and deleted cookies and got myself a new ip address, so how can the forum remember me? Ive had a lot of computer user accounts on this computer and even though Ive deleted my user accounts, i see there still in my c drive? Even if they are, the forum shouldn't remember them, should they? Any ideas how the forum still knows me because i want no trace of me before i register again. My Folders / Files / etc are in a chaotic mess. . Need Help / info to organise.? My system is in a complete mess. I use Vista (which is still confusing to work with). My "filing system" is just non-existant and I can never find what file I'm looking for. Even trying to sort my pics into categories is a nightmare. Is there a software (free!!) that can basically organise my folders (like a human secretary!!) file accordingly and all the rest? Also, looking how to send a "folder" of lets say photos instead of the files within the folder. Same with scanned documents. Instead of attaching each file I want to attach the Folder itself, so that the attachment when received is not a bundle of seperate images etc.. Also - as I am so unorganised, I need a simple but effective To-Do List manager / task scheduler / planner / calendar. What software should I buy to reduce distortion in my concert videos? First off I would like to say that in no way am I profiting from my videos. All they are are fun reminders of what an awesome night I had. I went to an amazing concert last night and took several videos. The acoustic songs turned out great but some of the other songs were filled with distortion and too much bass. I could faintly hear the vocals and guitars. Getting rid of the bass I can do with free programs like Audacity but the distortion remains. Can anyone recommend some software to buy that I can reduce the distortion and at least hear the vocals and guitars better?

Recommend a free desktop calendar & financial manager program for Windows 7? I've been looking all over & can't seem to find a free, easy-to-use, simple desktop calendar. I don't want anything that breaks down the days into hours & it seems like they all do that! Basically, I want to be able to click on a date & type & be able to print it out. Although I may use it for reminders, it's really more for logging my days, like a journal. I want it be be monthly & weekly view. I tried Microsoft Works, VueMinder Calendar Lite, CalendarPal, & Rainlendar but don't like any of them. Also, I need a free, simple financial manager. What is a good Task Management Software? Any thoughts? I need something that can handle multiple subtasks. Software that helps keeps multiple phone call reminders from being missed? I get about 30 calls a day on my cell or my office phone. Most are answered on the spot, others are not. Its those (let me check and call you back) ones that are getting me in trouble. I was hoping to find something out there (free, not thousands of dollars) that help keep track of a call. Doesn't have to Automate a call, I would rather simply add it as the phone rings, make notes with dates and times and make sure a customer is up to date when someone else in the office picks up the phone and says "Hello". Just wanting to make sure that whenever a customer calls, whoever answers can quickly read and add to the notes so they don't feel like they have to start the whole entire situation over. Looking for very good anti-virus software to download for Windows Vista? I don't want to intall McAfee and Norton because it irks me to have to continue to pay once I've bought a program, and they're intrusive with their pop-up reminders about updating (and paying again). I'm looking for a trusted, effective anti-virus program to download from (obviously) a safe site. I do not mind having to pay *once* though free is always nice, too. Please include links if you are able; if I have to do a search on the anti-virus name, I'm concerned about stumbling onto a harmful site in error, lol. Thank you, everyone! Has anyone else been experiencing problems with McAfee Security Center and Windows Vista Home Edition? Approximately about a year ago I purchased a new laptop with Windows Vista and installed free McAfee software from my internet service provider. Ever since then I would have intermittent problems with high disk activity and browser hangs requiring me to bring up the task manager to kill the browser or force a shutdown (sometimes a menu shutdown would work but other times I would be required to manually shutdown the computer). Browser hangs would typically occur at least once every couple of days. Then recently a new build of the McAfee Security Center (Version 9.15 - Build 9.15.175 - Language Pack 9.15.117) was updated on my computer and all hell broke lose. After the new version of McAfee was installed, a message popped up stated that my computer was not protected so I clicked on "Fix" (initially I didn't always click on "Fix" but McAfee would keep annoying me will reminders causing me to click on "Fix"). Within an hour excessive disk activity occurred and the browser would hang requiring a manual shutdown. This kept occurring repetitively for several days until I decided to not click on "Fix" and over the last several days, I haven't had any problems. The problem with McAfee appears to be that when "Fix" is clicked, a full scan of the system is performed causing the high disk activity and browser hangs.

What software should I buy to reduce distortion in my concert videos? First off I would like to say that in no way am I profiting from my videos. All they are are fun reminders of what an awesome night I had. I went to an amazing concert last night and took several videos. The acoustic songs turned out great but some of the other songs were filled with distortion and too much bass. I could faintly hear the vocals and guitars. Getting rid of the bass I can do with free programs like Audacity but the distortion remains. Can anyone recommend some software to buy that I can reduce the distortion and at least hear the vocals and guitars better?

HTTP Error 404 - all sites, every time .....? Arrived home to the g/f saying that she had "broken the internet" .... "sh1t" I thought, if she has managed to do that (did not put it past her), there is going to be a lot of angry people out there .... !!! Unbeknown to me, my anti-virus software (ES ET Smart Security) was 19 days out of date ..... no reminders, nice. Anyway, downloaded on my PC, transferred via usb pen drive and installed various new anti-virus & spyware softwares (AVG Free 8.5, Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware) some which found nothing (?!) some which cleaned out / quarantined 'a lot' (unsure if I still have the logs). Problem before was that couldn't do anything without warnings (from ES ET Smart Security) popping up about the viruses and IE opening and trying to go to p0rn.com & vi@gra.org. Seems like I have cleaned up the laptop now but cannot connect to any site (yahoo, facebook) without the HTTP Error 404. 'Interestingly' the auto navigate attempts to p0rn.com & vi@gra.org didn't bring back any content either. Emptied the browsing history & temp internet files, tried installing Firefox, have checked for updates to the A-V / Spy S/W and re-run scans ..... in desperation, tried 'netsh Winsock reset' in a CMD from advice here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892350/en-us ..... ooops, I now see I am actually on Win XP 2009 SP3 ..... Any suggestions (apart from staying off p0rn sites (I have not visited any p0rn sites (on that computer!)!)!) before I start taking random, drastic actions trying to guess my way through it? Cheers.
