where can I buy or for free get a personal diary/journal software?

I want to write personal diary in my laptop. i have a windows vista. people pl tell me where can i get safe & secure software to buy or for free (i don't think i could get for free). also pl tell be the advantage & disadvantage of using this personal journal/diary.

3. why don't you do one online? There are quite a few to choose from if you just google it and then you can access it from anywhere without the worry it might be stubled upon by family, etc. Oh yeah, and it's free.
