Desktop Calendar Software

What type of device am I looking for if I want to keep an electronic calendar?

I do not need a phone or camera or web access. All I want is some sort of electronic calendar to put important dates and appointments in. Tired of my pocket paper calendar getting torn and tattered in my purse trying to keep track of my appointments. ANyone have any ideas?

2. You probably want to start out on something simpler than an IPAQ or other business-oriented PDA. (I am not bashing them- my current PDA is an IPAQ rx3115. It has a lot of features that take up space that I don't need, but I wanted the internet, camera, etc.) I would recommend starting out with the Palm Z22, or similar PDA. I
