Desktop Calendar Software

What is the best Calendar Software?

I am looking for a scheduling software, for just basic stuff, like my kids appointments and that kind of stuff. I would also like to not have to go into it, to be reminded. What would be the best one for me to get?

3. Microsoft Office Outlook. It is a bit expensive but as most people have Office anyway there shouldn't be a problem.
